This free, two-day event is hosted by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in collaboration with Dr. The Academy focuses on dementia basics, including person-centered care; managing behaviors and alternatives to antipsychotic medications; assessments and care planning; sexuality in dementia; and cultural and socioeconomic considerations.
Continuing education information is available on the registration website. The ANE Academy is a free two-day training event, offered in locations across the state beginning in May 2017.
Nursing facilities interested in participating in the Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) can enroll beginning April 3, 2017.
Enrollment materials are due to HHSC by 5 p.m April 30, 2017.
No exceptions to this enrollment period will be given.
Updates, including the enrollment application, will be placed on the QIPP website once the enrollment period begins.
Responses will allow Survey Operations to collect the information necessary to accurately identify and address provider concerns through the development of new policies and procedures.
Reports will be released quarterly as the data becomes available.
(2/24/2017) Nursing facilities interested in pursuing a change of ownership (CHOW) as a part of obtaining QIPP funds must submit CHOWs to the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) no later than March 2, 2017.
